Great Beginnings - 15-23 months
Our Great Beginnings (15-23 months) program provides a stimulating environment where your toddler will build a sense of security. BLC understands young children require an environment which is especially responsive to individual needs. Every toddler is an active learner, possessing an abundance of energy. Their energy will last all day long, as they display independence by insisting on doing everything by themselves. BLC’s toddler program focuses on exploration, social and language development, and spiritual growth in a kind and loving atmosphere. Our staff demonstrates Christ's love through nurturing and daily activities. Children are encouraged to follow a set schedule and routine. They are introduced to brief group activities, such as music, art projects, brief Bible stories and organized games; though self-directed activities remain a large component of each child's day.
Little Learners - 24-36 months
Children learn by doing. They learn simple concepts and build on them to tackle bigger, more complex tasks and ideas. Toddlers learn objects have weight, volume, color and texture by using their senses. Our Little Learners program offers developmentally appropriate experiences in art, music, Bible, reading, language, science, and math. We assist children in acquiring learning and problem solving skills while expanding their thinking. We focus on helping young children gain self-esteem, exhibit positive attitudes and demonstrate affirmative social skills by encouraging them to help one another, equipping them with vocabulary to express themselves and allowing opportunities for cooperation. Spiritual concepts are woven throughout daily activities. Children will learn to pray for themselves as well as others. They will discover God’s incredible love for them.

Early Learners - two-year-olds
Early Learners begin to develop readiness skills through classroom activities and materials such as books, puzzles, puppets, music and games. BLC provides a variety of activities which allow children to become independent learners and understand the world in which they live. Early Learners have started to master their new vocabulary so we enable them to express themselves through show-n-tell, role-playing, conversation, etc. Children begin to realize letters make up words, which have meaning. Thematic units are used to teach a variety of subjects concerning the environment and everyday life. Spiritual concepts and bible stories are integrated into everyday life. Bible stories, simple songs and prayers are also used to teach children God loves them and wants their love in return. Children develop a positive image and social independence through structured hands-on play.
Three year olds
3-year olds are given a positive and secure classroom environment while being exposed to the wonderful experience of learning. Children learn basic concepts and skills of counting, shape and color recognition, positive relationships, letter perception as used in words and phrases. Children are learning how their body works and how it relates to all that is around them. They are given plenty of opportunity to develop fine and gross motor skills. Children are allowed to explore with the support of helpful and responsive adults. BLC provides daily bible stories and opportunities to learn Bible verses. 3-year-olds begin to understand the Bible is God’s Word enabling them to distinguish right from wrong. Children learn an array of Bible concepts each week in Chapel through songs, scripture and object lessons. Children then can respond in faith and love to the teaching they are presented with.

Our Fours program highlights a letter a week, through phonemic awareness while integrating the whole language approach. Children will grasp mathematical concepts through hands on activities. They will be provided opportunities to challenge and exercise their whole body. Science is integrated into the program through exploration, discovery, experimentation, and asking questions. Bible is woven into everyday life as well as scripture memorization, bible stories and music. BLC helps each individual gain knowledge socially as well as emotionally in a safe and stimulating environment.
Pre-K Five year olds
The pre-K 5’s program integrates whole language and phonemic awareness into a literature based learning experience. Literacy concepts and skills are supported and strengthened through a variety of activities including story dictation, classroom big book projects, cooking, art projects, music, and literature studies. Mathematics is a way of ordering and thinking about the world. It is much more than learning to count, read, and write numbers. The Fives program is all about grasping mathematical concepts through a knowledge of objects discovered by experience and observation. 5 year olds are beginning to be more involved in their own faith and learning. Children will learn they talk to God through prayer and He answers them. Participation in Praise and Worship happens each week in Chapel where children continue to learn that Jesus is God’s Son
