Bethany Learning Center is a ministry of Bethany Community Church. Consistent with the goal of the church, our desire is to prepare every generation to live for Christ. We believe children should be given the opportunity to gain an awareness of God so that they can respond to Him in faith and love. All aspects of our program are permeated with Christ’s love and teachings.
 
Bethany Learning Center takes a “whole child” approach to early education by encouraging emotional, social, cognitive, physical, and spiritual growth. As educators we are aware of the uniqueness of every child. We appreciate that learning styles and rates of growth are diverse for each individual. We adapt instruction to the needs of the child to make educational experiences meaningful and relevant.

At Bethany Learning Center, we maintain a high standard throughout the program and want the very best for the children, families, and staff. Excellence in teaching is based on a developmental, hands-on approach that is appropriate to the child’s level. We use the “Core Knowledge Preschool Sequence” as a model guideline, which describes the fundamental competencies and specific knowledge for children from three to five years of age. It provides a solid, coherent foundation for later learning in kindergarten and beyond. In a comfortable, caring, and encouraging Christian atmosphere, children are given an array of key learning experiences which support, enhance, and extend their own capabilities and emerging skills. Such experiences are created by using a variety of materials and challenging activities. We allow each child to explore, experiment, discover, and practice abilities and skills that have been defined by their own stage of growth and development. Setting developmentally appropriate goals for children and meeting the needs of every child, regardless of their stage or rate of development, are priorities for the Learning Center.
